with my eyes shut on the road,

i think of your box
hands
how they'll carve all the oak
catch every joke

in your palms
the wrinkles
and folds
i'll hide gold
diamonds and rose
and as your skin
fades
and thickens
i'll sink deep within

in the morning
glory will bloom
and we'll polish
bone
